Welcome to Ferrell Civil Engineering. We are based in Kings Beach, California and are proud to have been providing our services in Tahoe, Truckee, Northern Nevada, and California for over ten years. Our Principal Engineer, Tim Ferrell, is a licensed Professional Engineer in both California and Nevada. He has over nineteen years of experience within the civil engineering field.

As a small business operating among the intimate population of the Tahoe Basin we place a great deal of importance on design that positively impacts the local economy and setting. We are privileged to live and work in such a beautiful environment and our designs reflect practical implementation of sustainable building and environmentally conscious land management that compliment the ideals of the community.
We make it our priority to support and work with our fellow local businesses in every possible way and to stay informed of public issues concerning development, regulation, and environmental protection. Our Principal Engineer and business owner, Tim Ferrell, is a board member of the North Tahoe Public Utilities District and contributes to community planning and development through his extensive experience in this area.

We have experience with a large range of residential, commercial, public, and environmental projects. Please visit our Project page for details on some examples of our work. Our qualified staff includes three engineers, an experienced project manager, and a skilled engineering technician.
Practice
With 10 years of experience operating in the Tahoe region we have extensive knowledge of designing for extreme weather conditions and are experts on engineering for long-term stability in harsh settings. We place a great deal of emphasis on preserving the natural settings of our projects and we work with the landscape to create aesthetic appeal. We have been awarded the by the Tahoe Regional Planning Commission for several of our project designs in 2005 and 2006.
Professionalism
F.C.E. ensures that our level of professionalism and expectations are maintained throughout the construction process of our projects. We are experts on land management and are capable of overseeing construction of projects through completion and of handling any implications that arise throughout the process.
Permitting
We enjoy supporting many local permitting companies and we have extensive experience working with the local development agencies in the Tahoe and Truckee areas. We try to combine our diverse engineering skills with their planning/permitting knowledge to efficiently design and build our projects.
