Project Introduction
F.C.E. has designed 30 homes over the past 10 years. Our residential designs can be seen from Soda Springs, Truckee, Tahoe and Reno to Lee Vining. We can perform the architectural design as well as the structural engineering and land development and site infrastructure. Several residential projects are shown here. Our most recently constructed residential project was designed by Resort Builders and we performed the structural engineering. This modern home in Tahoe Vista was designed with two large backyard decks, open-floor planning to facilitate a great room design, and incorporates energy efficiency using passive solar heating and lighting. The house was built with a two car garage with high ceilings, and the exterior design incorporates rusted metal siding for a unique, rustic appearance.
Site Design
F.C.E. has performed the structural engineering on several projects for Resort Builders, who created the architectural plans for the home. Our firm is happy to work with home owners, builders, planners, architects, and landscapers to provide clients with the option of second-party designers, or we can offer our services to complete the entire project in-house. We work to create a proposal that best suits the client’s desires and budget.
Project Uniqueness
We are a company with a wide-range of capabilities, including structural projects such as these. We are able to design homes and buildings from below-ground up. Our expertise in land management allows us to take an undeveloped site and create the infrastructure for our buildings, as well as designing the architecture and providing all the engineering. We also incorporate landscaping in all of our designs, provided the option, and we believe this is an important aspect to any project.
Project Management
The construction of our residential projects is monitored and inspected by F.C.E. to ensure that the land development procedures specified by F.C.E. were followed in order to prevent erosion, vegetation damage, and proper handling of all site drainage. We specialize in land management and the level of quality we aspire to can be seen in all of our projects. We work closely with all contracting construction companies to ensure satisfaction in every aspect of a job and reasonable expectations for our designs. We were involved in the permitting process for this project through the Tahoe City Public Utility District and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, and we have extensive experience working with these and all other local regulatory agencies.
